Get Your Roof Replacement in Hot Springs, SD

There are 3 things that are considered necessities for humans: Water, food, and shelter. Your shelter is dependent on a roof, because that’s what holds everything up. Not only does it protect you from the elements, but your roof retains your temperatures, keeps out bugs and rodents, and affects your home’s value. In other words, it pays to have a roof that you can count on.

While we definitely recommend roof repair in Hot Springs, SD to keep your roof maintained properly, sometimes your roof has just met its end. This can be due to extensive damages, like a tree falling on it, or age crippling the structure. Whatever the reason, you can trust Swett Construction to give you the best results. We’ve got years of knowledge and experience to make sure you’ve got a roof you’ll feel secure under.

With all of that experience, our inspectors know the difference between a simple repair and a roof that needs replacing. One of the first things we check is the age, because a roof that’s 15 or 20 years old might need to be upgraded. Another reason that we might suggest roof replacement in Hot Springs, SD is if the repair costs would outweigh getting a completely new roof.

There are a lot of reasons that you should consider getting your roof replaced, like the fact that leaks in your roof can bring all kinds of problems inside your home. Rodents are known to cause viruses or bacteria in your air supply, insects can make nests in your insulation, or the wood holding up your roof might weaken and collapse. Basically, it’s dangerous. Those aren’t the only causes for a new roof, though:

  1. Nature is not to be taken lightly when it comes to your roof. Heavy storms can blow off shingles or lightning can strike a tree and cause it to fall over. If there are enough storm damages to your roof, like disintegrating shingles or scratched up material, it could be more cost-effective to get a new roof.
  2. Shingles offer solid protection, but they’ve got a lifespan, too. After a decade or two, your roof might be exposed to damages that can become expensive repairs. Unfortunately, if those repairs aren’t noticed or your roof goes without an inspection, your roof could be in trouble. Missing or damaged shingles can lead to ice dams or mold in your attic. If you notice your shingles peeling, cracking, curling, or darker than usual, your roof might need replaced.

If you’re ready to get a roof replacement in Hot Springs, SD, give us a call today at 605-890-2668 for your free inspection and estimate! We’ll make sure you get the best results, because you want to trust the roof over your head!

Expert Roof Replacement in Hot Springs, SD

There are still more reasons that you might want a new roof for your home that may not include extensive damages.

Upgrading your roof can also boost the value of your home, whether you’re planning to sell it or not. Older roofs might not have the protective capabilities that modern advancements can offer. A new roof can let people know that you took care of your property. Your realtor can also use a newer roof to increase the asking price, because it will last the new owners longer.

Adding on to your home with a new room or garage can require an expansion to your roof. It can be tempting to only put a roof on the new section of your home, but that risks a mismatch or uneven materials. Especially if your roof is old or has signs of wear, you might consider installing a new roof on the entire structure for safety and aesthetic purposes.

It might not be any one specific reason that your roof needs replaced. Just because your roof can make it a couple decades doesn’t mean that everything you see is how it seems. There can be a lot going on under the surface, which is where the inspection comes in. If we find excessive damages or your roof is at-risk of collapsing, we’ll recommend a replacement.

Jesse and his crew did a super job replacing the old shingles on my house and garage, upgrading my roof to Class 4 Impact resistant shingles, and installing a roof ridge vent to eliminate the old thru-roof vents. The whole crew was friendly and considerate. Clean-up was fantastic – I only found one roofing nail on the ground after they were done. Five stars for sure!!!
